You can’t currently make mandatory profile information (such as name, email, phone number, and address) optional.

You’re also unable to make optional profile items mandatory.

When you download applications, you have the option to redact mandatory profile information if you don’t wish to view it while selecting winners.

Here's the list of Mandatory/Required Profile Information you can choose to collect:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Residential address

  • School name

  • Gender

  • GPA

  • Skills/Interests

  • Target college list

  • Intended academic major

  • Intended degree

  • Intended College enrollment status

  • Career interests

  • Household income

  • Ethnicity

  • US legal status (e.g. citizen, permanent resident, DACA)

  • Religion

  • Sexual orientation

  • Disability/illness

  • Parent info (including names, emails employment, marital status, and veteran status)

  • Household size & Number of siblings in college

  • First generation? (Have the students' parents completed college before, or is the student first-gen?)

Here's the list of Recommended Profile Information you can choose from:

  • SAT/ACT scores

  • Extracurriculars/Clubs

  • Sports

  • Work experience

  • Honors / Awards

If you really need students to supply information about a Recommended item, just make sure to ask it as a question on the application.

For example, if you need students to supply their sports information, ask students to submit their sports info in response to an application question:
