“Workers' compensation” (also known as “Workers’ comp” for short) is money provided to you (usually by your employer or their insurer) as compensation for an injury sustained at work. The money is meant to cover medical expenses or rehabilitation, or to compensate for disabilities or death.

It is NOT the same as unemployment benefits or disability benefits, which are usually provided by the government.
