[Students] How do I upload my FAFSA® Submission Summary to my Going Merry profile?

First, retrieve your FAFSA® Submission Summary from the FAFSA® website.

If you don't have your FAFSA® Submission Summary or if you incorrectly downloaded it, click the arrow below for step-by-step instructions on how to download your Submission Summary.

How do I download my Submission Summary?

1. Go to the FAFSA® website and log in using your FSA ID. Only you, the student, should know or use your FSA ID.

2. Under the My Activity section of your Dashboard, select your processed FAFSA® form.

3. Select View FAFSA Submission Summary. Now you need to download it to your computer! Press CTRL+P on a PC or COMMAND+P on a MAC to print it as a PDF.

4. Click Change, then select Save as PDF and save the Summary to your computer. Then upload it to your Going Merry profile.

After you upload the Submission Summary to your Going Merry profile, you can attach it to scholarship applications on Going Merry.

If you already have your FAFSA® Submission Summary as a PDF, navigate to your Profile.

Within your Profile, scroll down to the Documents section.

At the bottom of the Documents section, you'll see an option to Upload Document on the lower left side. Once there, select FAFSA® Summary Report from the dropdown list of document types and upload your Summary.

  • If you provided an e-mail address on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA® ), you will receive an e-mail with a link to an online copy of your Submission Summary.

  • If you did not provide a valid e-mail address on your FAFSA® , the Social Security Number you included in your FAFSA® did not match the one on file for you with the Social Security Administration, or you did not sign your FAFSA® , you will receive either a Submission Summary or a Submission Summary Acknowledgement via postal mail. Typically, you will be able to access your Submission Summary within two weeks of filing your FAFSA®.
