Report that you’re not going to apply in your profile.

Go to your Profile here: https://app.goingmerry.com/profile

You can also find your profile by clicking “Menu” on the top left, then click “Profile”.

Scroll down to the Education section. At the bottom of the Education section, you’re able to report your FAFSA® status. Hover over the FAFSA® section and an option to Edit will appear.

Click Edit.

If you are not, or did not, complete the FAFSA®, click "No" when asked “Completed FAFSA® 2024-2025?”, then click “Save”.


Texas, California, Illinois residents

If you live in Texas, California, or Illinois, and you choose to complete a FAFSA® opt-out form or wavier, you can complete your opt-out form/waiver and then upload it in your Profile. This means you or your parent/guardian have formally decided NOT to complete the FAFSA® by filling out a waiver / opt-out / non-participation form.

To upload your opt-out form, follow the steps above to get to the FAFSA® section in your Profile. After clicking “No” to the question, “Completed FAFSA® 2024-2025?”, you’ll be asked, “Do you have a FAFSA® waiver (opt-out form)?”

If yes, click “Yes, I have a waiver”, you may then upload your FAFSA® Waiver. You may upload the Waiver from your desktop or mobile device.

If you already uploaded a FAFSA® Waiver in your Documents, the Waiver will automatically load, all you need to do is save.
